My role as the Treasurer is to ensure that the project runs smoothly and efficiently. My hope is that we can continue to raise funds and awareness to expand our outreach to surrounding communities.
I hope to bring enthusiasm and drive to the organization to help the Briggs and Barrett project grow and excel at creating SIDS/SUIDS awareness.
I was born and raised in Norfolk, Nebraska and attended college at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. In 2008, my husband I started a family and in 2009 we found an opportunity to move back home. I am now a mother to 3 and raising children in the Norfolk community has been an absolute blessing. I spend a lot of my free time attending my kids sporting events and dedicating my time to our community. Norfolk is blessed to have several service organizations that are making a lasting impact and I believe that the Briggs and Barrett project is one of them.
I first learned about the Briggs and Barrett project through friends and I have followed their progress through attending events and via social media.
Director of Owlet Care
I am honored to be a part of The Briggs and Barrett Project Board of Directors. This project has already touched so many lives and I truly believe our impact will only grow stronger with time. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, health and wellness is a passion of mine and there is no better place to start than with our precious little ones.
My role is the Director of Owlet Care. As part of our mission to have an Owlet on as many babies as possible, I organize the donation and application aspect of Owlets. My goal is to enable every family who wants or needs an Owlet to have one and the peace of mind that accompanies this.
Director SIDS & Safe Sleep
My role in The Briggs and Barrett Project is to help direct, assist and provide support in upcoming projects and events. As the Sleep Coordinator, I will be assisting in the set up of safe sleep training courses for the community, and spreading sleep safe awareness.
My goal for myself, and the project is to help provide tools and education for safe sleep practices, and to hold events to support those funds.
It’s a honor to be a part of this project.
Director – Faith Regional Health Services Representative
What the project means to mean and what I hope to bring: As a mom of four, this project is near and dear to my heart so being able to help provide parents, families, and other community members with safe sleep awareness and education is incredibly important to me, not only in my current career but on a very personal level as well. I hope to bring my experience and knowledge with working for and serving on boards of non-profit organizations for the last sixteen years.
My role on The Briggs & Barrett Project Board of Directors is to keep the Faith Regional Health Services Foundation connected to the project and help coordinate the ongoing collaboration between The Briggs & Barrett Project and Faith Regional Health Services.
Director of Fundraising
I’m honored to be a member of the first Board of Directors for this amazing project. I’m a fixer, and when bad things happen, when friends are hurting, I want to fix it! While I know that’s not always doable, I do know that if this project can save just one more baby, I’m helping fix something. And when we eventually help save all the babies, our jobs will be complete.
My hope is to save all the babies (remember, I’m a fixer!) But in all reality, my hope is to increase the awareness of SIDS and safe sleeping for every single day. I want moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, siblings and daycare providers to know about SIDS and how I prevent it. I will also be a support system for those mamas and families who are enduring the worst times of their lives. On the darkest of days, I want them to know that they are not alone.
As Director of Fundraising, my goal is to keep the financial base of our foundation strong. Keeping our fundraising attempts new, unique, and wanting people to be apart of our project if that is through volunteering, using others talents and connections, or wanting others to choose us to donate to!
